   <title>West Fork Fire Update - 26 June 2008</title>

   <description>Fire behavior yesterday was moderate. Low intensity surface fires occurred in some areas. Good progress has been made towards containment in all divisions. Crews continue to patrol and mop up. Demobilization of resources and personnel is underway. The West Fork Fire will transition to a New Mexico Type 3 organization on Thursday, June 26, 2008, at 6 am. The Northern Arizona Incident Management extends its sincere appreciation to Raton, surrounding communities, as well as all agencies and individuals that supported us in the suppression effort.

   <title>West Fork Fire Update - 25 June 2008</title>

   <description>Fire behavior yesterday was moderate until a light rain in the afternoon reduced the fire to smoldering and smoking. Crews conducted burn out operations in interior islands of fuel in the northern section of the fire. Good progress was made towards containment in all divisions. Crews are currently patrolling and mopping up. Demobilization of resources and personnel has begun. The Northern Arizona Incident Management Team is preparing to turn the fire back to a New Mexico Type 3 organization on Thursday, June 26, 2008.

   <description>Fire behavior yesterday was minimal and primarily consisted of smoldering and creeping movement. Crews continued to deepen, strengthen and cold trail containment lines. Lines are continually being improved and threat for escape has been significantly diminished. Line construction has been completed.
